New York Sour
The one cocktail that raids the wine rack on purpose.
What's in it
- 60ml (2 oz) Whisky
- 25ml (¾ oz) Lemon juice
- 15ml (½ oz) Sugar syrup
- a few drops Egg white optional
- 15ml (½ oz) Red wine, to float
How to make it
- Shake the whisky, lemon juice, sugar syrup and egg white, if you're using it, hard with ice.
- Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
- Float the red wine gently over the back of a spoon.
