Strawberry Daiquiri

A Daiquiri blended with strawberries and ice. Frozen strawberries make it thicker and colder, and the lime keeps it from tasting like a smoothie.

What cocktail can I make?

Where it came from

No one has a credible claim to inventing it. The Daiquiri itself is usually credited to Jennings Cox, an American engineer in Cuba, at the end of the 19th century. Constantino Ribalaigua Vert made the frozen version famous at El Floridita in Havana in the 1930s. The earliest published strawberry recipe is said to be in home economist Mabel Stegner's 1952 book Electric Blender Recipes.
