Cachaça · Build · Rocks · 3 min
Caipirinha
Brazil's national drink. Cachaça is distilled from fresh sugarcane juice, which is why it tastes grassier than most rum.
What's in it
- 60ml (2 oz) Cachaçaor white rum, which makes it a Caipirissima
- 1 Lime, cut into small wedges
- 4 tsp White sugaror 20ml sugar syrup
How to make it
- Put the lime wedges and sugar in a rocks glass.
- Muddle until the sugar has dissolved into the juice.
- Fill the glass with crushed ice and pour in the cachaça.
- Stir well, from the bottom up.
With sugar syrup
Use 20ml sugar syrup in place of the sugar. Press the lime just enough to get the juice out, since there's no sugar to dissolve.
