Jungle Bird
Kuala Lumpur, 1978 — the one tiki drink built on Campari, and the reason a bitter aperitivo bottle earns its place on a tiki shelf.
What's in it
- 45ml (1½ oz) Dark rum
- 20ml (⅔ oz) Campari or red bitter
- 45ml (1½ oz) Pineapple juice
- 15ml (½ oz) Lime juice
- 10ml (⅓ oz) Sugar syrup
How to make it
- Shake the dark rum, Campari, pineapple juice, lime juice and sugar syrup hard with ice.
- Strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
- Garnish with a pineapple wedge.
