East 8 Hold-up
Vodka and Aperol shaken with pineapple, lime and passion fruit: fruity, bittersweet and easy to like. Kevin Armstrong created it at Milk & Honey in London in 2010; the name comes from a mugging in E8, the East London postcode where he lived.

What cocktail can I make?Where it came from
The name has a story behind it. After a night out, Armstrong's fellow bartender Sam Jeveons stopped to relieve himself in E8, then an area where muggings were common, and a would-be robber stood on his lowered trousers and demanded his wallet; Jeveons chased him off with them still round his ankles. Armstrong wanted a vodka drink for the menu, and the fresh pineapple juice set it apart from other London bars at the time. It stayed on the list until Milk & Honey closed in 2020, and has since spread to menus around the world.
