Don's Special Daiquiri
A daiquiri with two rums, passionfruit and honey, from Don the Beachcomber, the Hollywood bar that started the tiki craze.
What's in it
- 30ml (1 oz) Gold Jamaican rum
- 15ml (½ oz) Cuban rum
- 15ml (½ oz) Passionfruit syrupor the pulp of one passionfruit with 10ml sugar syrup
- 15ml (½ oz) Lime juice
- 15ml (½ oz) Honey syrupor 10ml honey stirred into 5ml warm water
- ½ Passionfruit half optional
How to make it
- Blend both rums, the passionfruit syrup, lime juice and honey syrup with a cup of crushed ice.
- Pour into a wine glass.
- Fill the glass with more crushed ice, and garnish with half a passionfruit.
Without a blender
Whip shake everything with a small scoop of crushed ice, tip it all into the glass and top up with more crushed ice.
