Singapore Sling
It was first made at the Raffles Hotel in Singapore in the early 1900s. Pineapple juice shaken hard gives it a pink foam on top.
What's in it
- 30ml (1 oz) Gin
- 15ml (½ oz) Cherry liqueur
- 7.5ml (¼ oz) Cointreau
- 7.5ml (¼ oz) Bénédictine
- 120ml (4 oz) Pineapple juice
- 15ml (½ oz) Lime juice
- 10ml (⅓ oz) Grenadine
- a dash Angostura bitters
- 1 Cocktail cherry optional
How to make it
- Fill a hurricane glass with ice.
- Shake the gin, cherry liqueur, Cointreau, Bénédictine, pineapple juice, lime juice, grenadine and bitters hard with ice.
- Strain into the glass over the fresh ice.
- Garnish with a cherry.
