Gin Basil Smash
Hamburg, 2008. Shake it properly — bruised basil is the whole point.
What's in it
- 60ml (2 oz) Gin
- 25ml (¾ oz) Lemon juice
- 15ml (½ oz) Sugar syrup
- 1 handful Fresh basil
How to make it
- Smack the basil between your palms.
- Shake the gin, lemon juice, sugar syrup and basil hard with ice.
- Double strain over fresh ice in a rocks glass.
- Garnish with a basil sprig.
