A Negroni with whisky in place of gin — richer, and a good cold-weather answer.
What's in it
- 45ml (1½ oz) Whisky
- 30ml (1 oz) Sweet vermouth
- 30ml (1 oz) Campari or red bitter
- 1 Orange twist optional
How to make it
- Fill a mixing glass with ice.
- Add the whisky, sweet vermouth and Campari.
- Stir for twenty to thirty seconds, until the mixing glass frosts.
- Strain over a big cube in a rocks glass.
- Express an orange twist over the drink and drop it in.
