What cocktail can I make?

Where it came from

Who first mixed it is not recorded. Midori began as Suntory's Hermes Melon Liqueur in Japan in 1964 and was renamed for its American launch in 1978, at a Studio 54 party for the cast and crew of Saturday Night Fever. In Australia the green liqueur's big moment came in 1984, when French bartender Jean-Paul Bourguignon created the Japanese Slipper at Mietta's in Melbourne and promoted it around the country, and the Illusion came out of the same era of bright Midori drinks.
