Bringing your history over
Getting your Vivino data out.
Vivino will give you a copy of everything it holds on you. It takes a couple of days and about four clicks. Here is where to find it.
Getting the file
-
Use the website
Sign in to Vivino in a browser at vivino.com, on a laptop rather than the phone app. The export lives on the web side.
-
Ask for your data
Go to Settings, then the Account management tab. Near the bottom of that page, under your name and email, sits Export your data. Choose Start an export.
It is on that tab rather than the privacy one, which is where most people look first.
-
Come back in a day or two
Vivino takes somewhere between 24 and 48 hours to put the file together, and it does not come and find you when it is done. Nothing will land in your inbox.
Go back to the same Account management page once a couple of days have passed, and the download will be waiting for you there.
-
Send it over
Send the zip to whoever gave you your Barello invite. If Vivino gave you a separate cellar export as well, send both.
What lands in your downloads
A zip named for your account and the day you asked for it, holding a folder of spreadsheets. What is in yours depends on how you have used Vivino. A straightforward account looks something like this:
vivino-export-your-id-date.zip
- full_wine_list.csv every wine you scanned, with your rating, your review and the date
- label_scans.csv your label photographs
- user_prices.csv the few wines you noted a price against
- wishlisted.csv the ones you saved for later
- activity_likes.csv what you liked in the feed
If yours holds more than these five, that is normal. An export can also carry things like the people you follow and the comments you have left.
It is your file. Have a look through it first if you want to, and take out anything you would rather not share.
